Systems Support Agency — Since January 1982

America's Most Experienced
JD Edwards Recruiter

Dan Martin has been placing JD Edwards professionals nationally for over 45 years. He's not just a recruiter — he's a former Programmer Analyst who understands exactly what you do and exactly what employers need.

JD Edwards Recruiting
One specialist. Two audiences. One email away.

Whether you're a company trying to find a qualified JDE professional — or a JDE professional looking for your next opportunity — I am the right call to make.

For Employers

Stop wasting time on unqualified applicants

Your HR team is searching LinkedIn and job boards — and getting nowhere. JDE professionals don't respond to ads. The best ones are already employed and not looking. Through email, text, and phone I reach them directly — every day.

I've been doing this for 45 years. I know who the top JDE professionals are, what they want, and how to get them interested in your opportunity. I also make over 50 calls a day to JDE sites to find you unadvertised openings.

CNC Administrators · Business Analysts · E1 Developers · CIO / IT Directors · EDI Analysts

For Job Seekers

Less than 5% of JDE jobs are publicly advertised

You're scrolling job boards and responding to ads — but you're seeing the same postings everyone else sees. The real opportunities are never posted. Companies call me before they post anything.

When you register with me, I instantly notify you of every JDE opening that matches your background — including ones you'd never find on your own. I've built relationships with JDE sites nationwide over 45 years.

Your background, your salary requirements, your geography — I find the fit, you make the decision.

The Recruiter Who Actually Understands What You Do

Most recruiters read your resume and Google the terms they don't understand. Dan Martin doesn't have that problem. He was a Programmer Analyst — and that changes everything.

Dan attended UCLA, studying Mathematics and Computer Science while working full-time at Crocker National Bank's Check Processing Center. After graduation, he went to work for Northrop Aircraft, then Hughes Trident Missile Systems, as a Programmer Analyst on Burroughs and IBM Mainframe systems.

After a layoff at Hughes, Dan was placed in his next position by Systems 3 Agency — a firm that specialized in the JD Edwards / IBM System 3 midrange marketplace. 95% of their clients ran the IBM System 3 — the very hardware JD Edwards was developed on.

After leaving Hughes, Dan was offered a Recruiter position with Systems 3 Agency — the same firm that had placed him there. They recognized his I.T. background and outgoing personality as exactly what a great recruiter is made of. He later moved to Data Center Agency, where he rose to Agency Supervisor. In January 1982, he obtained his California Employment Agency License and launched Systems Support Agency — specializing exclusively in JD Edwards from day one.

He has never stopped. Over 45 years later, Dan is still on the phone every day — calling JDE sites, tracking opportunities, and connecting the right people with the right roles.

Would you go to a family doctor for heart surgery?

If you needed a JD Edwards Business Analyst, would you go to a full-service firm that recruits for any I.T. position — from cybersecurity to IoT to web development? Of course not. You call the specialist.

45 years of specializing in JD Edwards — exclusively.

One of a very small number of recruiters in the country who specialize exclusively in JD Edwards — and the one with the longest track record. Every call, every email, every day — for over four decades.

Daily outreach — by email, text, and phone

When I started recruiting 45 years ago, 50 phone calls a day was the standard. Today the world runs on email and text — so that's how I reach JDE sites and professionals. Same relentless outreach, modern delivery.

A home-grown database built over 45 years

My JDE candidate and client database wasn't scraped from LinkedIn. It was built over 45 years of real conversations with real people — and it shows the moment I reach out.

Most recruiters do exactly what your HR team already does

They post ads and search the same job boards your own team searches. I reach the professionals who are employed, content, and not on any job board — the people you actually want.

No guesswork on the technical side

I was a Programmer Analyst. I understand ERP — Manufacturing, Financials, Supply Chain, Distribution, Inventory. When a candidate says they know JDE E1, I know exactly what questions to ask.

Why it's so difficult to find JD Edwards professionals right now

This is important context for any company trying to hire JDE talent — and why working with a specialist isn't optional, it's essential.

The Oracle Era Created a Skills Gap

After Oracle acquired PeopleSoft (which had absorbed JD Edwards), they briefly threatened to kill the software entirely. Companies stopped buying. Companies stopped training new staff. The pipeline of younger JDE professionals simply never materialized.

The Average JDE Professional is 55+

Because companies stopped hiring JDE trainees during the Oracle uncertainty years, the average JDE professional today starts at around 55 — and the retirement wave has already begun. There are fewer qualified candidates every year, and demand isn't slowing down.

Geographic Relocation is Nearly Impossible

Professionals in this age range own their homes, often outright. Their families, social lives, and communities are established. Asking a $125K JDE expert in Arizona to move to California — where the same role pays $125K but homes cost $1.3M — is not a realistic offer. Remote and hybrid flexibility is no longer optional.

These Professionals Are in High Demand

JDE E1 specialists are not cheap, and they know their worth. Companies running JDE Manufacturing or Finance can't just switch to SAP — the cost and disruption would be catastrophic. They need their JDE people, and they need them now. The leverage is firmly with the candidate.
