The Recruiter Who Actually Understands What You Do
Most recruiters read your resume and Google the terms they don't understand. Dan Martin doesn't have that problem. He was a Programmer Analyst — and that changes everything.
Dan attended UCLA, studying Mathematics and Computer Science while working full-time at Crocker National Bank's Check Processing Center. After graduation, he went to work for Northrop Aircraft, then Hughes Trident Missile Systems, as a Programmer Analyst on Burroughs and IBM Mainframe systems.
After a layoff at Hughes, Dan was placed in his next position by Systems 3 Agency — a firm that specialized in the JD Edwards / IBM System 3 midrange marketplace. 95% of their clients ran the IBM System 3 — the very hardware JD Edwards was developed on.
After leaving Hughes, Dan was offered a Recruiter position with Systems 3 Agency — the same firm that had placed him there. They recognized his I.T. background and outgoing personality as exactly what a great recruiter is made of. He later moved to Data Center Agency, where he rose to Agency Supervisor. In January 1982, he obtained his California Employment Agency License and launched Systems Support Agency — specializing exclusively in JD Edwards from day one.
He has never stopped. Over 45 years later, Dan is still on the phone every day — calling JDE sites, tracking opportunities, and connecting the right people with the right roles.
